Awards season is upon us – who deserves to be recognized in 2024?

International Cytokine & Interferon Society, (ICIS), Awards Nominations & Application Forms are OPEN! There’s only way to ensure that deserving candidates don’t get overlooked – nominations for senior and mid-career ICIS awards to elevate the achievements of your colleagues from different research disciplines who’s cytokine & interferon research and advocacy in the field deserves international recognition.

ICIS Prestigious Senior & Mid-Career Awards for Excellence –Deadline to Submit Nominations is March 4, 2024. Young Investigator Award nominations deadline is April 3rd and will be announced in the next issue of Signals+.

  • The ICIS-Pfizer Award for Excellence in Cytokine & Interferon Research (formerly the Seymour and Vivian MILSTEIN Award), represents the pinnacle of scientific achievement in cytokine & interferon research. Sponsored by Pfizer
  • ICIS-BioLegend William E. Paul Award for Excellence in Cytokine Research: This award is given to an investigator that has made significant contributions to cytokine and interferon research throughout their career. Sponsored by BioLegend.
  • ICIS-LUMINEX John R. Kettman Mid-Career Award for Excellence in Interferon & Cytokine Researchsponsored by Luminex Corporation,recognizes a mid-career investigator who has made outstanding contributions to the field of interferon or cytokine biology.
  • ICIS Mentorship Award: TheICIS Mentorship Award recognizes ICIS members who have made significant and sustained contributions to the mentorship of trainees and to the profession through outstanding mentoring.
  • ICIS Honorary Lifetime Membership Award: Each year an ICIS member will be awarded Life Membership as a tribute to his/her contributions to the field. Nominees should be individuals who have made substantive contributions to the cytokine, chemokine and interferon field over much of their careers, either in basic, clinical or applied research.
  • ICIS Distinguished Service Award: The ICIS will on occasion bestow this honor on an ICIS member who has made an extraordinary contribution to the Society. The individual will have devoted significant time and energy over a period of years to elevating the goals of the Society in furthering research on interferon, cytokines and chemokines.
