Congratulations to the newly-elected officers of the ICIS! Several are returning members, while others are joining the board for the first time. It is great to see so many people willing to give generously of their time and “sweat equity” (to adopt a turn of phrase from former ICIS President Chris Hunter).

Cytokines 2024 – Annual Conference Updates
As the summer winds down, plans for Cytokines2024 in Seoul Korea are largely complete. This promises to be a particularly memorable conference, both for the location, the outstanding lineup of speakers, headlined by Council member Judi Allen and Nobel Laureate Drew Weissman. Big kudos to the KAI team, especially You-Me Kim, who have put together a truly outstanding conference.

A highlight will be the Early Career Researcher (ECR) networking event, to be held on Monday, October 21 at the Spaceshare Samseong COEX Center, organized by Adriana Forero and Juan Mendoza. Many will recall the amazing energy and excitement at the ECR event last year in Athens, and doubtless this will happen again in Seoul.

Save the Date!
It’s also not too early to mark your calendars for Cytokines2025, November 2 – 5, 2025 in Seattle, Washington, USA, co-organized by Michael Gale, Jr. and Ram Savan. They are lining up some terrific keynote speakers (details coming soon), and this promises to be a very exciting event.
