United States Trevor obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Washington College in Maryland, United States. He completed a visiting undergraduate position at the University of California- San Francisco under the mentorship of Dr. Terumi Kohwi-Shigematsu. There, he conducted research on antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) as a potential treatment in breast cancer as well as pancreatic cancer. He now is working on his PhD at Rutgers University in Dr. Sergei Kotenko’s lab, where he is studying interferons and the IFN signaling pathways involved in mediating cell death and other anti-proliferative mechanisms. Trevor is also co-vice president of the Rutgers University Bioinformatics & Data Science Club.
